Naamkaran ("the App") is developed and maintained by Shardul Tamane ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Naamkaran app.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and name from Google's OAuth service. When you sign in with Apple, we receive your email address and optionally your name, as permitted by Apple's Sign in with Apple service. When you sign in with email and password, we store only the email address you provide. This information is used solely to create and identify your account.
App Usage Data
We store the list of baby names you have liked (saved as favourites) in association with your account. This data is stored securely using Supabase.
What We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect your location
- We do not access your camera or photo library
- We do not collect device identifiers for advertising
- We do not share your data with third-party advertisers
2. How We Use Your Information

3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure, protected by industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third parties.

5. Data Retention and Deletion
You may delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at the email address below. Upon request, we will delete your account and all personally identifiable information within 30 days.
6. Children's Privacy
Naamkaran is designed to help parents choose names for their babies. The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
